Oceans Healthcare adds 3 board members

Plano, Texas-based Oceans Healthcare, a behavioral health provider, added three members to its board of directors.

Here are four things to know. 

1. The additions include Rob Allen, Phillip Douglas and Peter Grua.

Mr. Allen recently served as Oceans Healthcare’s interim CFO and has 38 years of healthcare experience. He previously served in chief operations and chief financial roles for Denver-based Coram/CVS Infusion Services, Lake Forest, Calif-based Apria Healthcare, Sacramento, Calif.-based Titan Health Corp. and American Medical Response in Greenwood Village, Colo.

3. Mr. Douglas has more than 35 years of healthcare and management experience and was formerly chairman and chief executive of Plano, Texas-based LifeCare Health Partners. He has also served in senior executive positions at Pittsburgh-based Workscape, HealthSpring (now Bloomfield, Conn.-based Cigna-HealthSpring), Minnetonka, Minn.-based United Health Corp. and Louisville, Ky.-based Humana. 

4. Mr. Grua has 25 years of venture investment expertise with director positions held at nearly 20 healthcare service and information technology organizations and publicly traded companies. His directorships include Washington, D.C.-based The Advisory Board Company, Nashville, Tenn.-based Ampersand Health, ArroHealth in Hauppauge, N.Y., Cottonwood Heights, Utah-based Imagine Health, Linkwell Health in New York City, Medicalis in San Francisco and OnShift in Cleveland.
