Nurses needed at Genesis Health System

Davenport, Iowa-based Genesis Health System is seeking about 100 nurses due to a nursing shortage in the Quad Cities — a region of four counties in northwest Illinois and southeastern Iowa — according to a WQAD report.

Here are three key points related to the hiring initiative:

1. Genesis offers sign-on bonuses for all registered nurses, according to the report.

2. Genesis is slated to hold a nursing job fair at three of its facilities May 5. 

3. The fairs will be held in Aledo, Ill., DeWitt, Iowa and Silvis, Ill.
