Mr. DeNio completed a workout on the morning of Dec. 3 at a fitness center and then became ill, according to his family. Funeral services are pending.
Mr. DeNio joined NorthBay Healthcare in 2001. He helped the nonprofit, community-based health system grow through the construction of modern facilities and expansion of services. He also helped NorthBay maintain its independence.
“Our hearts and prayers are with his wife, Madeline, and his family as they try to make sense of this tragic loss,” said NorthBay Healthcare President and CEO B. Konard Jones. “We, too, will greatly miss Art as a friend, a trusted colleague, a respected leader and an innovator at NorthBay Healthcare.”
