Missouri Senate Votes to Extend Hospital Taxes

The Missouri Senate has passed legislation to extend hospital taxes two more years from its Sept. 30 expiration, according to a Bloomberg Businessweek report.

The legislation would extend other healthcare taxes four years. Together, these taxes are estimated to produce $3 billion per year for Missouri’s Medicaid program. 

The House will now vote on the legislation.
