The CEOs leading U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 to 2026 Best Hospitals Honor Roll include longtime leaders and those newly appointed in 2025.

Below are the CEOs of each hospital recognized in the ranking.

AdventHealth Orlando (Fla.): Abel Biri was appointed CEO in June.

Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston): Giles Boland, MD, has served as hospital president since March 2024.

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles): Peter Slavin, MD, was named president and CEO in October 2024.

Cleveland Clinic: Tomislav Mihaljevic, MD, was named president and CEO in 2018.

Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center at Hackensack Meridian Health: Robert Garrett was appointed health system CEO in 2018.

Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian (Philadelphia): Bob Russell was appointed CEO of Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in 2023.

Houston Methodist Hospital: Marc Boom, MD, was named president and CEO of Houston Methodist in 2012.

Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore): Redonda Miller, MD, was named hospital president in 2016.

Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston): Marcela del Carmen, MD, was named hospital president in March 2024.

Mayo Clinic-Arizona (Phoenix): Richard Gray, MD, has served as CEO since 2019.

Mayo Clinic-Rochester (Minn.): Gianrico Farrugia, MD, was named president and CEO in 2019.

Mount Sinai Hospital (New York City): David Reich, MD, has served as hospital president since 2013.

New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell (New York City): Steve Corwin, MD, has served as president and CEO since 2011.

Northwestern Medicine-Northwestern Memorial Hospital (Chicago): Howard Chrisman, MD, was named CEO of Northwestern Medicine in 2023.

NYU Langone Hospitals (New York City): Robert Grossman, MD, has served as CEO of NYU Langone since 2007.

Rush University Medical Center (Chicago): Omar Lateef, DO, was named CEO of the medical center in 2019 and became health system president and CEO in 2022.

Stanford Health Care-Stanford Hospital (Palo Alto, Calif.): David Entwistle was appointed president and CEO of Stanford Health Care in 2016.

UCLA Medical Center (Los Angeles): Johnese Spisso became president of UCLA Health and CEO of UCLA Hospital System in 2016.

UCSF Health-UCSF Medical Center (San Francisco): Suresh Gunasekaran was named president and CEO of UCSF Health in 2022.

University of Michigan Health (Ann Arbor, Mich.): David Miller, MD, has served as CEO of Michigan Medicine since July 1.
