Mr. Sweet served in senior executive positions at hospitals now known as Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in New York, Mount St. Mary’s Hospital & Health Center in Lewiston, N.Y., and BryLin Behavioral Health System, also in Buffalo. He worked for 23 years at the Western New York Healthcare Association as senior vice president for membership and finance.
As a certified public accountant, Mr. Sweet also served in leadership roles with several finance organizations, such as the Western New York chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Advisory Council of HealthLink, the Western New York Healthcare Human Resources Management Association and the Healthcare Association of New York State, among others.
Mr. Sweet was active with organizations outside of the healthcare industry, including the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations, the School of Management Alumni Association of the University at Buffalo in New York and Nardin Academy, also in Buffalo.
