The name change comes roughly two months after LMH entered into a management services agreement with Chapel Hill-based UNC Health Care. At the time, LMH said employees would keep their current positions and remain employees of the hospital. The agreement did not involve any sale or exchange of assets.
LMH this week announced the partnership to people in Lenoir County via mailers, according to the report. The hospital expects signs at the facility will start changing over the next few months to reflect the new name.
