However, some board members questioned the financial projections made by the system. The system’s Chief Strategy Officer Donn Szaro projected the struggling organization — which lost roughly $6 million in January — could experience a surplus by the summer, but other board members worried savings projections as part of the union deal were overestimated, according to the report.
The union must now approve their contracts. They are scheduled to vote later this week.
