Hospital Prices Up 0.5% in August

The consumer price of hospital services increased 0.5 percent in August, compared to July, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistic’s news release on the Consumer Price Index.

The increase reverses a drop of 0.5 percent in July, which was the largest decline in nearly five years for hospital services.

For the six months ended Aug. 2010, hospital prices rose 4.9 percent, according to the CPI.
