In the first six months of her campaign, Ms. Clinton accepted $164,315 from drug companies, according to an analysis by Stat News.
In September, Ms. Clinton revealed her plan to curb rising drug costs and launched an attack on big pharmaceutical companies and insurers. She also voiced her opinion on drug companies during the Democratic debate Oct. 13.
Presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders, who also spoke out against drug companies, recently turned down a $2,700 donation from Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO Martin Shkreli.
However, a few top Republican candidates have accepted big pharma donations. Senator Ted Cruz took in $96,045, Senator Marco Rubio accepted $52,430 and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush received $50,700.
