Ms. Garmer is also a professor at the University of Redlands, San Diego and the University of Phoenix.
Her colleagues at Health Center Partners nominated her for the award, which evaluates each nominee’s leadership, passion and mission, challenges and perseverance, personal integrity, charitable contributions and volunteer work, achievements, humanitarian/social enterprise and impact/measurability.
All the finalists will be honored at San Diego Magazine‘s Celebrating Women event on Sept. 28. The winner will be announced at that time.
