For 26 years, Mr. Thomas was an administrative leader at Detroit Medical Center, retiring as president and CEO of Detroit Receiving Hospital in 1995.
Following his tenure as president and CEO of Detroit Receiving, he was promoted to senior vice president for ambulatory services for DMC, according to the report.
Mr. Thomas has held various positions with local civic and social organizations, including board chairman of the Health Centers Detroit Medical Group and director on the Wayne State University Physician Group board of directors.
