Here are four things to know about the layoffs.
1. The final total number of laid off workers was not disclosed. However, a CarePoint official referred to it as fewer than 80, and said they amount to less than 2 percent of the company’s total staff.
2. The eliminated positions vary, but the largest portion came from the corporate office, a CarePoint official said, according to the report.
3. The layoffs stem from consolidation of services shared by the three hospitals, particularly ChristHospital and HUMC.
4. The layoffs were effective about two weeks ago.
