Covenant Hospital Plainview in Texas Goes Smoke-Free

Covenant Hospital Plainview (Texas) has launched an initiative to promote a smoke-free campus, according to a Herald report.

Prior to the initiative, the hospital had designated areas for smokers. As part of the initiative’s launch, the hospital threw away ash trays and converted an employee smoke hut into a storage unit, according to the report. The hospital’s tobacco-free policy also applies to the hospital’s clinic, parking lots, lawns and other areas.
