The office was created in the state’s recently passed budget and is responsible for developing a healthcare cost strategy, running health IT initiatives and overseeing the state’s all-payer claims database. Ms. Veltri formerly served as Connecticut’s healthcare advocate and chief health policy advisor to Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman.
“Under [Ms. Veltri’s] leadership, this office will be able to quickly and cohesively respond to federal changes and ensure Connecticut policy is supporting our goals and moving our healthcare system in the right direction,” said Ms. Wyman, according to HartfordBusiness.com.
