Mr. Schroffel previously served as president and CEO of University of Colorado Hospital, a position he held for six years until he spearheaded the 2012 formation of University of Colorado Health, the system he now oversees. Even though the system is a little over one year old, it has already grown, adding Colorado Springs-based Memorial Health System to the fold in August 2012. “UCHealth is experiencing tremendous growth while keeping our patients as our number one priority,” Mr. Schroffel said in a news release on the addition. UCHealth has also entered into a management agreement with Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyo.
When he’s not expanding UCHealth’s list of member hospitals, Mr. Schroffel can be found serving on various boards. He has served on the boards of the University Health System Consortium, the Colorado Hospital Association and the Denver Foundation, just to name a few.
Mr. Schroffel earned two graduate degrees from the Columbia University in New York City.
