CentraCare Health executive dies after diving into lake

Todd James Steinke, a vice president with St. Cloud, Minn.-based CentraCare Health, died Saturday near Mentor, Minn., in a water-related incident, according to a Forum News Service report.

Mr. Steinke was staying at a cabin on Cable Lake when with family when he apparently dove into shallow water and struck his head on the bottom of the lake, according to the report, which cites information from the Polk County Sheriff’s Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mr. Steinke was promoted last month to vice president of philanthropy and community health at CentraCare Health. Before that, he was director of development for CentraCare Health Foundation since 2005.
