The announcement comes as members of Congress debate “Medicare for All” single-payer proposals.

The report may not include a cost estimate of Medicare for All The Hill states.

However, it will respond to a request from House Budget Committee Chairman John Yarmuth, D-Ky., who seeks information on “design considerations that policymakers would confront in developing proposals to establish a single-payer system.”

A spokesperson for the congressman told The Hill that the budget panel plans to hold a hearing on the report next month.

The House Rules Committee has scheduled a hearing on Medicare for All legislation for April 30.
