Baptist Health South Florida Announces Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute

Miami-based Baptist Health South Florida has announced all of its centers that offer cardiovascular and heart services will be rebranded and operate under the name Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.

“Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute is on a journey that will transform it into a national leader in cardiac and vascular care,” said Barry T. Katzen, MD, founder and director of the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, in the news release.

Part of the transformation will include Baptist Health’s $100 million expansion project to develop aneurysm and structural heart disease programs, according to the news release.

“This is a natural step forward as we continuously strive to improve care and the overall patient experience,” said Carol Mascioli, COO at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, in the news release.
