Hospital officials said the layoffs are part of a strategic business decision. “It’s kind of the industry standard now to hire a firm to do the [hospital’s] coding,” Teri Williams, KRMC director of communications and marketing, told Daily Miner.

Kingman is a general medical and surgical hospital with 180 beds and a trauma center.
