AHA recognizes McDonough District Hospital CEO as Grassroots Champion

Kenny Boyd, president and CEO of McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Ill., has been recognized with the 2016 American Hospital Association Grassroots Champion Award for Illinois.

Mr. Boyd was named a Grassroots Champion “for his exceptional leadership in educating elected officials on critical issues impacting hospitals and broadening community support for hospitals,” according to a news release.

Since 2012, Mr. Boyd has been an active Illinois Health and Hospital Association member, serving on various committees and councils. He has led McDonough District Hospital since 2011.
