ACHE’s Chicago chapter names 2015 award recipients

Chicago Health Executives, the largest independent chapter of the American College of Health Executives, has named the local award recipients for 2015 for Metropolitan Chicago.

The awards will be presented at the 40th CHEF Annual Meeting, Feb. 18 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

The ACHE Regent’s Awards recognize career achievement, leadership and student accomplishment. The CHEF Awards recognize teamwork for service innovation as well as community health leadership.

Here are the recipients for both categories of awards.

ACHE Awards

Healthcare Leadership Award: Anthony J. Tedeschi, MD, CEO, Northeast Region-Chicago Market, Tenet Healthcare and CEO, Weiss Memorial Hospital (Chicago)

Early Career Healthcare Executive Award: Timothy M. Carrigan, PhD, RN, Associate Vice President, Clinical Nursing and Assistant Professor, College of Nursing, Rush University Medical Center (Chicago)

Health Studies Student Leadership Award: Mazahir Dossaji, Rush University

Health Studies Student Leadership Award: Keshiha Bathani, Governor’s State University (University Park, Ill.)

CHEF Awards

Innovation: The University of Chicago Medical Center IS Team

Innovation: NorthShore University HealthSystem (Evanston, Ill.)

Community Leadership Award: Juan Salgado, M.U.P., President, Instituto del Progreso Latino (Chicago)
