Here are five things to know about the layoffs.
1. They take effect Nov. 7.
2. They affect 53 full-time and 31 part-time employees of several inpatient care units, who were told Sept. 21 that they were to be laid off, according to the report, which cites information from Dimensions spokeswoman Erika Murray.
3. The 84 employees affected by the layoffs join the more than 30 employees who lost jobs in the hospital’s maternal and child health unit, which is scheduled to close next month.
4. In total, there have been about 120 layoffs since Dimensions announced the facility’s closure and transition into a $24 million ambulatory care center on July 31.
5. Of the maternal and child health unit employees, 17 individuals will find work within the Dimensions system and all will be retained. Ms. Murray said in the report that roughly 40 percent of the additional 84 layoffs will also find employment within the system.
