4 recent healthcare layoffs

The following healthcare layoffs were reported by Becker's Hospital Review since Jan. 9. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Trios to lay off 9 employees in latest cost-cutting move
Kennewick, Wash.-based Trios Health said it will lay off nine employees, effective Jan. 19.

2. New Mexico hospital lays off 12 employees
Holy Cross Hospital in Taos, N.M., laid off 12 employees Jan. 12 amid financial struggles, according to The Taos News.

3. Massachusetts ambulance company lays off about 3% of staff
Fallon Ambulance Service in Quincy, Mass., laid off 23 employees, reducing its total workforce to 733, according to The Patriot Ledger.

4. Diagnostic Imaging of Salem to close, lay off 34 employees
Diagnostic Imaging of Salem (Ore.) will close this month, resulting in the layoff of 34 employees, according to a Statesman Journal report.
