Here are three questions leaders should ask to help team members identify their strengths.
1. What exasperates you? People may not realize the skills they find frustrating when others’ lack them are the talents they exude best.
2. What compliments do you dismiss? People who are inherently good at something tend to downplay its importance.
3. What do you think about when you have nothing to think about? Repeatedly coming back to a thought multiple times shows it is of great importance to a person, which could mean they are good at it.
