The healthcare industry (including healthcare products) and computer industry both reported 17 planned CEO departures in November, but healthcare has seen 275 this year to date, while the computer industry reported 119, according to the report.
According to the report, there were 15.6 percent fewer CEO departures reported in November than in December among all recorded industries, but the November total was 9.6 percent higher than November 2013.
The other three industries with the highest CEO turnover this year are government and nonprofit organizations (182 CEO departures), services (48) and energy (35).
The study also found resignation was the most common reason for departure in November among all CEOs, followed by retirement and stepping down.
California, Texas and New York reported the highest CEO turnover, with 160, 99 and 75, departures, respectively.
