New Hanover Regional Medical Center Receives Grant for Neonatal Ventilators

Wilmington, N.C.-based New Hanover Regional Medical Center's Betty H. Cameron Women's and Children's Hospital has received $50,000 from the Will Rogers Institute for the purchase of two neonatal ventilators, according to a report from the Island Gazette.

The ventilators are for infants born with underdeveloped lungs. The new equipment will help NHRMC meet the growing demand that it is experiencing for the service. The hospital sees more than 100 infants requiring ventilation each year.
