Southwestern Ohio Hospitals Expand Cancer Centers

Three Ohio hospitals have recently expanded their cancer services, according to a report from the Journal News.

Dayton, Ohio-based Kettering Health Network opened a call center in early July for directing patients to cancer services at its Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio. Kettering has also begun to streamline cancer care across its eight-hospital system under the program name Kettering Cancer Care.

Dayton, Ohio-based Premier Health Partners has opened a series of outpatient community cancer centers. The sixth center opens today, July 22, in Greenville, Ohio, and is part of a partnership with Wayne HealthCare and Dayton Physicians Network.

Cincinnati, Ohio-based UC Health plans to invest an additional $30 million in the next five years into its joint cancer center with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center to follow the $65 million worth of investments into the facility since 2007.
