UH Rainbow will launch Rainbow Pediatric Emergency Services at Mercy’s two Ohio facilities: Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain and Mercy Allen Hospital in Oberlin. Children at both Mercy locations will have access to Rainbow pediatric specialists and a multidisciplinary team of pediatric experts. Children with higher-level care needs will also have enhanced access to Rainbow’s pediatric trauma center as part of the collaboration.
Additionally, UH Rainbow has trained Mercy staff on Rainbow quality care protocols, comfort measures and other aspects of pediatric care. Over the next month, Mercy Regional and Mercy Allen will both work to make their emergency department waiting rooms more inviting and child-friendly.
