Emergency services for children will still be available, but children who require inpatient care will be referred to other hospitals with inpatient pediatric units, the closest of which is Parkview Community Hospital in Riverside, according to the report.

The hospital declined to comment on reasons for closing the unit, as well as where former Corona pediatricians plan to practice and whether or not nurses would be let go over the decision, according to the report.
