Memorial Medical Center Adds Epilepsy Unit

Johnstown, Pa.-based Memorial Medical Center has added a new epilepsy unit and treatment technology, according to a report from the Tribune Democrat.

The three-bed unit, now complete with constant electroencephalogram and audio-visual monitoring, opens Friday with a ceremony and an epilepsy education session.

According to MMC, epilepsy patients require three to five days of seizure monitoring in order for clinicians to be able to accurately consider treatment options.
