Dignity Health, Alliance HealthCare to Open CyberKnife Oncology Center

San Francisco, Calif.-based Dignity Health and Newport Beach, Calif.-based Alliance HealthCare will open a CyberKnife oncology center on the campus of San Francisco’s Saint Francis Memorial Hospital.

The center is scheduled to open in 2014 and will also serve St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco and Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, Calif.

CyberKnife is a non-invasive method of treating tumors through several sessions of targeted, high-dose outpatient radiation therapy, according to a news release.
