Wythe County Community Hospital taps Joe Wilkins to serve as CEO

Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, Va., named Joe Wilkins CEO, effective Nov. 13.

Mr. Wilkins most recently served as vice president, COO and ethics and compliance officer for Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, W.Va. He was previously assistant CEO of Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Va., and interim CEO of Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center in Emporia, Va.

Mr. Wilkins is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. He succeeds COO Adam Martin, who has been serving as interim CEO since February. Post-Nov. 13, Mr. Martin will continue serving as COO.
