Prior to accepting his new role, Mr. Popp served as CFO at Watertown, S.D.-based Prairie Lakes Healthcare System.
Mr. Popp learned about Campbell County through a mutual connection that eventually led to him accepting the CFO role, according to a March 17 Campbell County news release.
“You go to the grocery store and see the folks you’ve provided services to,” Mr. Popp said of Campbell County Health in the release. “At the end of the day, a not-for-profit healthcare facility has to be financially sustainable, so it can care for patients today and tomorrow, including those who don’t have health insurance.”
Mr. Popp will begin his new job March 20.
