WVU Medicine East welcomes Dr. Henry Kurban as CMO

Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine tapped Henry M. Kurban, MD, to serve as vice president and CMO of WVU Medicine East.

WVU Medicine East includes Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson and University Healthcare Physicians, all in West Virginia.

Dr. Kurban most recently served as medical director of performance improvement and associate chief medical information officer at Bassett Healthcare Network in Cooperstown, N.Y. He has also held public health leadership roles in Canada and the U.S. including New York.

In addition to his medical training, Dr. Kurban holds an MBA from McGill University in Montreal, and a master’s in public health from Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
