Morgantown, W.Va.-based WVU Medicine has named six new leaders across the health system.
Amy Bush was appointed president of WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s in Morgantown. In her new role, she will provide strategic leadership for hospital operations, clinical care and philanthropic efforts as she works to also advance pediatric care access for children and families, according to a Sept. 28 news release shared with Becker’s.
Ms. Bush, who has been with WVU Medicine since 2015, will continue to support regulatory compliance and transplant services across WVU Hospitals.
Katie Dean has been named vice president and general counsel of WVU Hospitals & University Health Associates. In her new role, Ms. Dean will succeed Felicia Imbrogno and continue to provide legal leadership and counsel to hospital and provider leadership.
Ms. Dean has been with WVU Health System since 2018. Prior to her new role, she managed WVU Medicine’s healthcare practice group within the department of legal services.
Jason Gizzi has been appointed to vice president of finance for WVU Hospitals & University Health Associates. Mr. Gizzi succeeds Justin Gibson, who transitioned to vice president of enterprise finance for WVU Health System.
Mr. Gizzi has more than 25 years of healthcare finance and operations experience, and currently serves as assistant vice president of financial planning and analysis. In his new role, he will work closely with WVU hospital leadership to support financial strength, continued growth and strategic priorities.
Jami Pincavitch, MD, was named chief medical information officer of WVU Hospitals. Dr. Pincavitch joined WVU Health System in 2017 and is an associate professor in the WVU department of orthopedics.
In her new role, Dr. Pincavitch will act as the regional informatics leader for the system’s Morgantown-based J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, WVU Medicine Golisano Children’s, Fairmont (W.Va.) Medical Center and associated clinics. She will work with clinical and executive leadership to advance the use of clinical information systems and digital health technologies to support clinicians, enhance patient care and improve workflows.
Dr. Pincavitch will also continue providing system-level informatics oversight for clinical decision support and related initiatives.
Other appointments at WVU Medicine include Aaron Yanuzo as president of Fairmont Medical Center and Rakesh Sindhi, MD, as executive director of the WVU Medicine Center for Organ Transplantation.
In his new role, Mr. Yanuzo will build on the momentum from his time as COO of Fairmont Medical Center. Dr. Sindhi will lead continued growth of transplant services at WVU Medicine with a focus on expanded access, innovation and advancing the system as a comprehensive transplant care destination.
