CEO of Wisconsin’s Columbus Community Hospital Resigns

Ed Harding, president and CEO of Columbus (Wis.) Community Hospital will step down to take the CEO position at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, Wis., according to a Beaver Dam Daily Citizen report.

Mr. Harding will remain at CCH until Dec. 3 to move forward with key projects, including the hospital’s upcoming renovation project. Over the past few years, Mr. Harding has led the hospital through the construction of a new emergency room and a new fourth floor for inpatients. He was also instrumental in securing an affiliation with SSM Health Care of Wisconsin/St. Mary’s.

The hospital has begun a national search for Mr. Harding’s replacement. The search firm will also choose an interim CEO to lead the hospital during the transition period.
