M. James Kaufman, PhD, plans to step down as president and CEO of the West Virginia Hospital Association.
Dr. Kaufman joined the association in 2020, according to an Aug. 21 WVHA news release shared with Becker’s.
The association’s board of trustees named Tony Gregory, current vice president of legislative affairs, as interim president and CEO. Mr. Gregory has served the association for more than 25 years.
“Having been part of WVHA for many years, my immediate focus is on continuity, supporting our staff and members, and keeping the important work of the Association moving forward,” Mr. Gregory said in a statement shared with Becker’s. “As we look ahead, WVHA will continue to be a strong, proactive voice for West Virginia’s hospitals and health systems.”
