Virginia’s Southside Regional Medical Center Appoints New CEO

Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, Va., has announced the appointment of Michael J. Yungmann as its new CEO, according to a report by The Progress-Index.

Mr. Yungmann is currently the CEO of Lake Wales Medical Center, a 160-bed acute care hospital based in Lake Wales, Fla. He has served there for the past five years and has 20 years experience in healthcare administration.

Mr. Yungmann will start at Southside Regional on July 26. He replaces former CEO David Fikse, who has held the position for seven years.
