VCU pediatric hospital taps 1st COO

Katie Golob has been appointed the inaugural COO for Children’s Hospital of Richmond (Va.) at VCU, part of Richmond-based VCU Health.

Ms. Golob is a dynamic and mission-driven leader, according to an April 21 LinkedIn post from the hospital. She most recently served as administrator of VCU Health’s department of surgery, a role she held since 2020, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Before joining VCU Health in 2017, Ms. Golob was ambulatory manager of neurosciences and psychiatry at Charlottesville, Va.-based UVA Health System.

Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU is a full-service children’s hospital that opened an additional neonatal intensive care unit in January.
