Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, N.H., appointed Deanna Howard interim president and CEO, effective Feb. 18, according to Valley News.

1. Ms. Howard is a healthcare consultant.

2. She formerly served as vice president of regional development for Danville, Pa.-based Dartmouth-Hitchcock.

3. She has experience serving as CEO of Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook, N.H.

4. Ms. Howard is a past chair of the New Hampshire Hospital Association.

5. She replaces Peter Wright, who is leaving for a leadership role at Lewiston-based Central Maine Healthcare.
