In her new role, Dr. Sharma will be tasked with overseeing 445 providers at Valley Medical Group and will focus on medical outcomes, improving patient care and optimizing resources, according to a Dec. 27 news release from the organization.
In the past few years, Dr. Sharma has been instrumental in launching the Care After COVID-19 program as well as behavioral health and ambulatory physical medicine and rehabilitation programs at Valley Medical Group, the release said.
Dr. Sharma previously has served Valley Medical Group as director of palliative care and chair of medical specialities.
