Madison, Wis.-based UW Health Bob Flannery has shared plans to retire Jan. 8, 2027, a spokesperson for the health system confirmed Aug. 14 with Becker’s.
Mr. Flannery has served as UW Health’s CFO for more than a decade, according to his LinkedIn page.
Prior to his current role he served as the health system’s senior vice president and chief administrative officer of practice plan. He also served as CFO of the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation in Madison.
“Over the last decade, Bob Flannery has served as the chief financial officer of UW Health through many challenges, including market volatility, regulatory shifts and a global pandemic,” the spokesperson said. “Through all this, Bob has been a steadfast leader, ensuring UW Health not only maintained financial stability but also found pathways to growth, enabling us to continue serving our patients in Wisconsin, Illinois and beyond with remarkable healthcare. We want to thank him for his years of service and dedication and wish him the best in his retirement.”
UW Health comprises six main hospitals across Wisconsin and Illinois. It has more than 26,500 employees and more than 2,000 employed physicians, according to its website.
