Min Lee was appointed president of UNC Hospitals, effective July 20.
Ms. Lee brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across academic health systems to the role, according to a June 2 UNC Health news release.
Most recently, she has served as COO of UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va. She joined the organization in 2022.
Previously, Ms. Lee served as vice president of operations at Reading (Pa.) Hospital, part of Tower Health, and vice president of operations at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta.
UNC Hospitals, part of Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health, is a public academic medical center with more than 1,000 beds. The organization comprises N.C. Memorial Hospital, N.C. Children’s Hospital, N.C. Neurosciences Hospital, N.C. Women’s Hospital and N.C. Basnight Cancer Hospital.
In her new role, Ms. Lee will oversee UNC Hospitals and report to Chad Setliff, president of UNC Health Triangle Region.
