UPMC Hamot CFO retires, ending 29-year tenure: 4 takeaways

Erie, Pa.-based UPMC Hamot CFO Steve Danch retired July 31, according to a GoErie.com report.

Here are four takeaways:

1. Mr. Danch became CFO of UPMC Hamot, then Hamot Medical Center in 1989. He helped lead Hamot Medical Center’s affiliation with UPMC in 2011.

2. He also oversaw finances for UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, N.Y., UPMC Northwest in Seneca, Pa., and UPMC Kane, Pa.

3. Brad Dinger will serve as the new CFO for UPMC Hamot and the other three hospitals under Mr. Danch’s purview.

4. Previously, Mr. Dinger served as director of finance at UPMC Hamot and as treasurer for the Hamot Health Foundation.
