Ascension appoints 1st-ever chief digital officer: 5 things to know

St. Louis-based Ascension named Eduardo Conrado executive vice president and chief digital officer, a newly created role, effective Sept. 1.

Here are five things to know:

1. Mr. Conrado comes to Ascension from Motorola Solutions, a communications equipment provider, where he served as executive vice president and chief strategy and innovation officer.

2. He has worked at Motorola Solutions, and its parent Motorola, since 1992, serving in roles of increasing responsibility.

3. Mr. Conrado served on Ascension’s board of directors from 2014 through June 30 of this year.

4. In his new role, Mr. Conrado will be responsible for the organization’s digital strategy as well as improving innovation processes and operations.

5. He holds an MBA from ESADE, associated with Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, Spain.
