UPMC chief healthcare data and analytics officer switches roles

Oscar Marroquin, MD, Pittsburgh-based UPMC’s chief healthcare data and analytics officer, is switching roles to become the system’s senior vice president and president of UPMC’s physician services division.

In his new role, Dr. Marroquin will be responsible for University of Pittsburgh Physicians and  Community Medicine, which has a staff of more than 5,000, according to a July 19 news release from UPMC. 

In his previous role, Dr. Marroquin oversaw UPMC’s team of information technology architects, analysts, statisticians and data scientists.
