University of Vermont Medical Center appoints CMO: 4 takeaways

The University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington selected Isabelle Desjardins, MD, to serve as CMO, according to a Vermont Business Magazine report.

1. Dr. Desjardins joined the medical center in 2003.

2. She served in a number of leadership roles, including as vice chair of clinical affairs for the department of psychiatry.

3. She is an attending psychiatrist and associate professor of psychiatry at UVM’s Larner College of Medicine.

4. Dr. Desjardins replaces Stephen Leffler, MD, who left the CMO role to serve as chief population health and quality officer at the hospital.
