University of Tennessee Medical Center appoints Dr. Keith Gray CMO: 6 points

Knoxville-based University of Tennessee Medical Center selected Keith Gray, MD, to serve as senior vice president and CMO, effective March 1, according to a Knox News report.

1. Dr. Gray is chief of the division of surgical oncology at UT Medical Center.

2. He has worked at the hospital since 2007, serving in several leadership roles, including as chief of staff.

3. He is also currently medical director of the operating room committee.

4. Dr. Gray co-founded the hospital’s Physician Leadership Academy.

5. In addition to his medical training, he holds an MBA from UT’s Haslam College of Business in Knoxville.

6. He succeeds Jerry Epps, MD, who is retiring April 15.
