Dr. Wright most recently served as a professor and chairman of pediatrics at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He also served as senior vice president at Washington, D.C.-based Children’s National Health System. He was the founding director of the Child Health Advocacy Institute at Children’s National.
Dr. Wright is also an adjunct professor of emergency medicine and health policy and management at the George Washington University Schools of Medicine and Public Health in Washington, D.C.
Along with being the chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Committee on Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Dr. Wright is also chair of the AAP Task Force on Addressing Bias and Discrimination.
